A Quilters Perfect Day

What would make a perfect day for a quilter?

What else but to go to a quilt show.  In this case the Quilt Expo in Madison.

Loaded the van with 2 friends and off to Madison we go.  Stopping at McDonald's for a Egg McMuffin and a choc chip Frappe, one of my newest addictions.

We arrived around 10am and proceeded to take it all in.  First stopping at Twin Turtle Quilt Shop booth, I had told her I would relieve her from her booth when she needed a  lunch break.

So after checking in with Teresa we hit the vendors with the passion of all quilters.  Anything new, anything exciting anything we haven't seen before.

I even played with some long arm machines - Had to just try them out a little bit and even talked Annette into playing with one.

After seeing as many vendors as we wanted to, went through the show

Gave me a thrill to see one of the quilts I had made in a Local Quilters Booth - Six Flags - Mary Kay at Loose Threads - Milton WI was selling kits of this quilt along with the pattern
Teresa at Twin Turtle Quilt Shop  - Clinton WI had 2 of my quilts hanging in her booth along with all of my patterns available for sale.
Just a few photos, my camera card filled too quickly.  I forgot to format and change the setting before going so I didn't get all the pictures I wanted to.

After leaving "exhausted" we went to A & W for sandwich and root beer.

Of course before leaving this morning I had to spend some time sewing.  Sewed the machine portion of the binding on my Buggy Barn Baskets, finished 2 blocks on the wall hanging for my daughter in law and started a bag - for fall.

It was a perfect day.
